League Philosophy • Safety is Important! – Basic First Aid – CCLL strives to instill the virtues of good character in our players: – Sportsmanship – Honesty – Loyalty – Courage – Respect for Authority So that they may be well adjusted, stronger and happier children and will grow to be decent, healthy and trustworthy citizens.

League Philosophy • This is LITTLE LEAGUE – MUST Play – Can’t Sit 2 Consecutive Innings – New substitution rule at AAA and below – Bat the Line-Up – Free Substitutions – PLEASE Move Players Around – Regular Season Games DON’T COUNT – MODEL the Behavior You Want from Your Players – Adults in the Dugout – Manager + Two • Single A & Rookie – Manager + Three • T-Ball – As Many Adults as You Can Recruit! • All Adults with repeated access to children must have County Card – Manager Evaluations are passed out each season. Don’t be that coach that didn’t rotate all season! The season should be fun and positive for all players. – Teach the Kids to LOVE Baseball!

Troy Perry • Bat Rules have changed – Leagues and families are encouraged to visit USA Baseball’s website for information on the USABat Standard and list of approved bats. • Rule 1.10 – The bat must be a baseball bat which meets the USA Baseball Bat standard (USABat) as adopted by Little League. It shall be a smooth, rounded stick, and made of wood or of material and color tested and proved acceptable to the USA Baseball Bat standard (USABat). 2018 Baseball Bat Chart 2018 Minors & Majors USA Baseball marking 2 5/8” barrel maximum 2018 USA Baseball marking Intermediate (50/70) & Junior 2 5/8” barrel maximum BBCOR ALLOWED 2018 Senior ALL bats must be BBCOR

John Stolarik Summary • Practices  Don’t!  Let a field go to waste – if you don’t need it, offer it up to the other coaches at your level  Use unapproved fields  Scrimmage/practice with non Little League teams/players  Fail to show for concession duty – you practice requests will be suspended  Do  Request practices early, fields fill up fast  Share the field if we mistakenly schedule two teams on the same field  Call the County Rover if there if there is a CBC team on your field, he can determine who has the field  Coach your kids up  Be safe  Have fun!

Joe Williams • Field Maintenance – Update on First Field Maintenance Day - Cancelled – Dates: Saturday, March 3 rd and 10 th (8 am) • All Teams MUST Participate in at least one – County Cut-Backs Will Have Several Impacts: • Saturday Mornings: Lining the Fields OURSELVES • Dragging All Fields on Weeknights – Feel Free to Pull Bases & Place in Dugouts After Late Game • Working Pitcher’s Mound & Batter’s Box – Field Prep After Rain

Jim Skapars  Umpire-in-Chief – All umpires go through many hours of training (Both new and experienced) – Umpires receive continuous training, development and coaching (throughout the season) – Please be respectful of our umpires – Judgment calls (Please review Rule 9.02a) – SHOW your players how to “Honor the Game” – 1 minute between innings – Plate meetings – Designated manager  Umpire Mentoring – Your feedback is critical  Please complete evaluations after games and email them to jim.s@ccllbaseball.com  We are always looking for more Umpires  Question or Concerns – Please let us know
