Colonial’s Dual Enrollment Policies

You are college students now!

  • Communication: It is imperative that you

check your e-mail and our Colonial High Dual Enrollment Help Desk Facebook page daily for school related updates.

  • Textbooks: Must be returned at the end of

each term in order to receive new materials.

  • Textbook Vouchers: You need to turn in an
  • fficial detailed schedule in order to receive a

voucher.

Colonial’s Dual Enrollment Policies (cont.)

  • Attendance: Is essential for success. No

more than 2 absences per semester.

  • **check syllabus**
  • A.A. Degree: Review A.A. Degree planning

form for degree requirements and important deadlines.

  • Grades: You must maintain at least a 3.0

GPA within Dual Enrollment courses.

  • Withdrawals: Two or more withdrawals,

will result in removal from DE Program.

  • Class Schedules: Once schedule is

complete, do not add or drop courses without consulting with your guidance

  • counselor. After add/drop passes--it is a

withdrawal

  • Outside of classroom: If your professor is

absent, please transition into the Career Room in room 1-232. DO NOT ROAM THE CAMPUS!

  • Early Release: Please see your guidance

counselors to determine your eligibility.

Textbook Vouchers

  • Textbooks must be picked up within two

weeks of the start of the class.

– Vouchers cannot be used prior to the 22nd

  • f August.
  • Students with courses on different

campuses must go to each campus to pick up books.

  • Any problem with the vouchers must be

reported to me immediately. If you wait, it may be a cost to yourself.

Have a hold on your account? Do An Override

Send an email to: dualenrollment@valenciacollege.edu Subject: Override Needed Body: Your name, VID-number, and courses wanted (ex. ENC1102)

Reminders from Valencia’s DE Office

  • 4. Valencia ID’s can be picked up during the first week of the

fall term (8/29).

  • 5. You no longer have to e-mail the Dual Enrollment office for

extra credit for a course with a lab. You can now simply register for the lab to receive the appropriate credit.
