Mosquitoes transmit all 3 of these diseases

If we reduce mosquito populations we reduce the risk of disease spreading in our community

ZIKA, DENGUE & CHIKUNGUNYA

  • Zika is all around us and is inevitably coming to the BVI
  • Repellents and nets do not solve the problem
  • Mosquito control is only effective as whole Community

effort - Everyone must do their part

Why are we here?

The best way reduce mosquito populations is to eliminate their breeding sites

How can YOU help?

slide-8
SLIDE 8

Eliminating Mosquito breeding sites Can reduce mosquito populations by 50-60%

  • Standing water is the mosquito’s breeding site
  • As little as a tablespoon of water can hold hundreds of eggs
  • The eggs can survive without water for over a year and then hatch when in contact with water

This is how you can help…
