Our Aim ims 01 01 To demonstrate the link be betw tween en men ental l he heal alth an and d prod productivity in the workplace, and improve Midlands employers’ understanding of the relationship between them. 02 02 To pilot approaches for supporting the mental health of employees which reduce the impact on workplace productivity and barriers to employability. These will be evid evidenc nce-ba based, loca ocally y rele relevant, tes tested d an and d sus sustain inab able, including: a. a. SLEEP: Supporting employees wit ith in insomnia ia and emotio ion regulation proble lems Wha hat we’ll do do • Create online content tailored for workplace relevance including: - CBTi (cognitive behavioural therapy for insomnia): Sleep science education, stimulus control therapy, sleep restriction therapy Start: Spring 2021 - ER (Emotion Regulation): Non-judgmental awareness, acceptance and tolerance, analysis and modification, physical activity targeting depression and anxiety 2 Cohort 1 • The intervention includes regular interaction with a trained therapist and sleep tracking Intervention months exercise Pilot Aim Pil Aim Cohort 2 2 Intervention months • Test the feasibility of a low intensity digital intervention to help support mental health in the workplace and improve productivity Be Benef efits Finish – follow up • Early or first detection of mental health problems: Ke Keep eping ng pe peop ople le in in-work after 1 month

MENTOR: Supporting emplo loyers and emplo loyees rece ceiving tr treatment fo for menta tal health lth proble lems to to remain engaged engaged and and pr producti oductive e at at work ork What we’ll do • Hire a role that sits at the intersection of employee, employer and healthcare worker to problem-solve and support all 3 stakeholders. Start: Spring 2021 • Provide individually tailored advice and support on what good workplace wellbeing practices look like and work towards individual engagement and mental health literacy. Cohort 1 3 months Intervention Pil Pilot Aim Aim • Evaluate the effectiveness of a Mental Health Employment Liaison Worker (MHELW) in supporting the mental health and productivity of employees with mental health problems Cohort 2 3 who are working.
