Mentors for extra credit must have expertise in the Product topic and CAN NOT be family.

If You’re on Co-op:

■ Make arrangements with your Shop teacher to be graded ■ Be prepared to come to school on the due dates ■ Be responsible ■ You will not be eligible for Co-op if you get a grade of less than a C for the 1st or 2nd trimesters.

Product Evaluation Due Dates: ■ September 13th ■ October 11th ■ November 8th

If your Senior Project includes a Fundraiser:

■ Keep track of the funds you raise for your

non-profit agency.

■ You must meet with the Business Manager,

  • Mrs. Orcutt, to set up an account.

■ Technical instructors will be required to

monitor monies collected and sign off that the student has disbursed the funds to the intended non-profit.

What should you do?

Complete this form and put in your Portfolio BEFORE the First Product Evaluation.

Research Paper format…

■ Your English instructor will

support the Paper phase.

■ You will write a technical

paper that will demonstrate your technical knowledge.

■ Your English Instructor will

grade your paper and your Shop Instructor will specifically grade the technical content of your paper.

■ The Presentation phase is supported and partially

graded by your Social Studies teacher.

■ Students will have opportunities for “dress rehearsals” ■ Make your Portfolio presentation ready. ■ ‘Dress to impress’ with business professional attire

Research Paper, Presentation, Portfolio.

■ Encourage your student to meet deadlines. ■ Remind them that they should seek support

when needed: Don’t wait until it’s too late! .
