 Current system has been in place since 2006  Conduct a Review / Audit of Membership Systems and Personal Data  Examine consent on membership forms.  Plus needs to update its Procedures by holding workshop(s)  Document these activities

Current State of Legislation

 Bill was introduce to Parliament on 13/09/2017 in the House of Lords [Bill 153 of 2017 / 2019 Session]  Bill is currently schedule to have its Second Reading in the House of Commons  Will come into force across Europe (EU) on the 25 May 2018  European Law will still apply  ICO is the lead UK Regulator

 Workshop to update Membership Policies and Procedures  Review / Audit of Data held by Plus at present  Review means of consent to hold personal data  Update Job Descriptions for National GPC and Area Membership Officers’

What Does Plus Action Next

 Members will need to informed how their Data is been kept, manged and reasons for Plus holding it.  An updated Membership System needs to be introduced
