• Mother Tongue Languages - Encourage

reading, at least 10 minutes a day and spend time discussing what has been read. Expose your child to TV programmes or other media in their Mother Tongue language.

• Mathematics – For P1 Eliasians, knowing the

number bonds within 20 will ease the learning process for your child. Ensure that they commit the addition and subtraction facts within 20 to memory (by term 3).

• Examples of number bonds:

 2 and 8 make 10  3 and 7 make 10 Therefore 10 – 3 = 7 and 7 + 3 = 10

Subject teachers on the last Thurs of the month from Term 3 onwards. No written homework for that Thurs
