Elements of the FNSBSD K-8 and Elementary Schools

• 5 days per week

• Accommodates busing

• Smaller groups for physical

distancing

• Classroom teachers work

with other staff to provide instruction to pods

• Pods distributed to

multiple areas of the building (gym, music room, computer lab, etc.) Teacher Workload

• Teachers are responsible

for either in-person or remote learning students - not both FNSBSD Calendar

• Student start date moved

to Thursday, August 20.

• End date remains May 18
• Two additional

professional development days added.

is an option for students

• Remaining students are

split into two groups (A/B) and attend school ½ time in-person and ½ time remotely

• Class sizes would be no

greater than 12 students

UPark: 1:00 MS: 3:00 *Requires 2:30 dismissal *9:30 start time shuttle in AM Basic Format

• At least 6 students per

classroom opt for full-time remote learning to accommodate physical distancing for the remaining ≤ 16 students

• Class sizes would be no

greater than 16.

• In-person students attend

school ”most time” (vs. ”full time”) to accommodate teacher prep and contact with remote learners.
