Abbreviations Notes

A+NG

As required by North Carolina’s ESEA waiver renewal granted on March 31, 2015, “A” schools demonstrating no significant gaps between the highest and lowest subgroup performance on assessments or graduation rate will be designated as “A+NG” schools. 12 NC charter schools received the “A+NG” designation.

Schools with no data available to calculate at least a School Achievement Score will not receive a School Performance Grade. An example would be K–2 schools. 2 NC charter schools received the “I” designation.

N/A

Schools using the alternative accountability model will be designated as “N/A”. 1 NC charter school received an “N/A” designation.
