Walking Tour
We offer one hour walking tours through the complex. Be invited to walk with us through the corridor
conference rooms where world leaders convene. You will learn more about the work of the UN in Kenya, Africa and worldwide.
Green Building Tour
The “Green Building” hosts the global headquarters of UN En- vironment and UN-Habitat, the Human Settlements programme. The building is energy neutral. This rather technical tour explains the energy saving and producing facilities of this sustainable build-
bination with the walking tour.
Walking tour with UN Overview Briefjng
Special offer for groups: The walk- ing tour can be combined with a briefjng about the UN. The walking tour and the briefjng take about two hours.

The briefjng takes place in a conference setting and gives a more de- tailed overview of the history, structure and work of the United Nations. Upon request, we can invite an expert from one of the many funds, programmes and agencies located in Nairobi to speak to the group about a topic of their choice e.g. environment, climate change, wom- en’s right, assistance for refugees, developmant and many others. The Visitors’ Service of the United Nations Offjce at Nairobi was established in 2012 after a General Assembly decision to offer guided tours in the Nairobi complex. The guided tours service complements the existing UN Visitors’ Services in Geneva, New York and Vienna. Our knowledgable tour guides are available to show you around the complex and give you information about the work of the UN.
