Comprehensive Plan Guidance

  • Comprehensive Plan aims to grow areas around the Dunn Loring Metro

Station and the Mosaic District into mixed-use, pedestrian friendly urban areas.

  • The nomination parcels are currently planned only for warehouse and

light industrial uses, which is incompatible with the Plan’s area-wide vision.

  • Properties to the east, west, north, and south of the nomination parcels

have an option in the Comprehensive Plan to redevelop as mixed use.

  • This includes three properties immediately to the north that are owned by

Venture Associates.

  • Engage in further study to evaluate whether planning nomination

parcels as mixed use will better promote the area vision in the Comprehensive Plan.
