Ventilatio Ventilation Requirements • Where economizer exhaust IMPORTANT ISSUES is provided for ventilation, verification should be provided that exhaust will be available at times other than economizer or free cooling mode. 9 C I T Y O F C H I C A G O D E P A R T M E N T O F B U I L D I N G S Ventilatio Ventilation Requirements • Garage relief openings IMPORTANT ISSUES should be shown and dimensioned on drawings as 1 square foot of free area per car, and not just noted as such (mostly applies to residential). 10 C I T Y O F C H I C A G O D E P A R T M E N T O F B U I L D I N G S 5

Ventilatio Ventilation Requirements • Outside air intake louvers IMPORTANT ISSUES should be sized for 100% of code supply. 21 C I T Y O F C H I C A G O D E P A R T M E N T O F B U I L D I N G S Ventilatio Ventilation Requirements • Windows used for borrowed IMPORTANT light & vent must be parallel to ISSUES the walls of the room utilizing the borrowed light. • 10’ - 0” AFF is the minimum ceiling height requirement for borrowed light & vent.
