program following the 2012 Federal Budget

  • Grants from previous competitions that have

Research Tools and Instruments

  • Broad consultation of communities
  • Smaller national competition with quota of

applications per university based on:

  • number of NSERC-funded natural sciences and

engineering researchers at institutions

  • minimum quota of two applications
  • Researchers can be on more than one

  • Criteria for evaluation will remain the same

Research Tools and Instruments

  • To apply to the RTI program, submit your application to

your institutions, by their internal deadlines

  • Each institution will perform its own internal review

process and submit the selected applications to NSERC by the October 25 deadline.

  • NSERC continues to receive the RTI applications (Form

101 and Form 100) through the NSERC on-line system.

  • The updated program description and instructions will

be available at the beginning of August.

  • NSERC will gradually migrate all its programs

to the CCV by late 2015

  • NSERC CCV to replace the Personal Data

Form (Form 100)

  • Notification of Intent to Apply (NOI) and full application

must be submitted through NSERC’s new Research Portal.

  • Applicants and co-applicants must complete and submit

NSERC’s version of the Canadian Common CV (CCV) at the NOI and application stages.

  • Notification of Intent to Apply (NOI) must be submitted to

NSERC by the deadline date of August 1, 20:00 Eastern.

  • No NOI by deadline = Not possible to submit a full

application.
