DETAILS

  • UPCYCLE theme will change each year
  • The theme for the following year will be introduced at the annual banquet – allowing a

full year to create your UPCYCLE entry

  • The challenge is open to all Green Certified organizations but only one entry from each

is allowed

  • Winners will be presented the UPCYCLE Trophy to display for the entire year
  • 2020

2020 – CREATE THE TROPHY

  • The 2020 UPCYCLE challenge is to create the trophy that will be presented to future

winners (think Stanley Cup)

  • Entry must:
  • Be durable and able to be displayed
  • Include a flat area to attach plates naming each years

winner - Plates will be provided and attached by the Program

  • Be no larger than 20” tall by 14” wide

GENERAL RULES

  • Entries must be made entirely from recycled, reused or repurposed items
  • Only items that may be purchased new are binding materials such as tape, glue, string, etc.
  • If you have an item you are not sure about, ask before using
  • Entries are judged based on:
  • Resemblance to a trophy
  • Creativity
  • Originality
  • Judging will take place at the 2020 Green Certification Banquet

MORE DETAILS

  • Additional details will be available on the Green Certification website, newsletter and by

email in October

  • You must attend the banquet in 2020 for your entry to be considered
  • The winning 2020 UPCYCLE trophy will be engraved with the name of the organization

that created the trophy and that organization will display it until the 2021 banquet
