In the Sustainable Management program, students learn to develop business practices that help balance the triple bottom line of people, planet, and profjt.

Students can earn an online master’s degree, bachelor’s degree, or certifjcate in Sustainable Management. The certificates ofger
selections of courses from the bachelor’s degree program and are geared to students who already have a bachelor’s degree (although this is not a requirement).
The master’s degree is
designed for students who have a bachelor’s degree and are looking to strengthen and further develop their knowledge in sustainable management.

Student Services

Online Writing Lab (OWL)
is available if students need help with writing projects. Along with the typical grammar, punctuation, and style assistance, students can get the help they need to fjnd topics, write a thesis statement, organize an outline, and construct paragraphs to support points.

Students use a learning management system called Desire2Learn (D2L) to access course syllabus, materials, exams/quizzes, and the discussion board and to connect with professors and other students.

You do not need to log in and participate in online classes at set times, which makes online learning a convenient option for busy adults. You still have weekly schoolwork deadlines. For example, students may have to post on the discussion board by Friday but are able to complete the post anytime during the week.

Tuition for the bachelor’s degree an the certifjcates are a fmat fee of $398 per credit. The master’s degree is a fmat fee of $689 per credit. You pay the same tuition whether you live in or out of state. Most courses are three credits, and there are no additional course or program fees. As this is an online program, students do not pay segregated fees – fees in addition to tuition that cover the costs of student-organized activities, facility maintenance, and operations on a campus.

Textbooks are purchased separately and are not included in tuition. Most courses in this program require a textbook. They may be purchased through the University of Wisconsin-Extension Bookstore, powered by eFollett. Students may also look into other options, but purchasing through the UW-Extension Bookstore will ensure that you get the right editions.
The University of Wisconsin Sustainable Management program ofgers scholarship opportunities to new and continuing bachelor’s and master’s degree-seeking students to help pay for their education. Sustainable Employer Match Scholarship: You can apply for this if your employer does ofger a tuition-reimbursement program. Available for bachelor’s and master’s degree students. Green Student Scholarship: You can apply for this if your employer does not ofger a tuition-reimbursement program. Available for bachelor’s and master’s degree students. New students are able to enroll on the traditional semester schedule—in the spring, summer, or fall.
For the best chance of admittance, apply and submit all application materials at least one month prior to the start of

A personal statement of up to 1,000 words, describing your reasons for pursuing a Master of Science in Sustainable Management, your short- and long-term goals, and what value you would add to the learning experience of your fellow students. Professional resume. Two letters of recommendation (professional or academic). International students should refer to their home campus for admission requirements, which may vary between campuses.
Master’s Degree
Approximately 45-60 credits of transferable college coursework in general education* GPA of 2.0 or higher. International students should refer to their home campus for admission requirements, which may vary between campuses. High school diploma/GED/HSED.
Bachelor’s Degree Certifjcates
*There are options available to those with less than 45 general education credits. Please work with an enrollment adviser to discuss those options.
We encourage you to hold a short phone meeting with an Enrollment Adviser to help determine fjt, answer questions, and provide guidance on campus selection and application steps. Submit the Online University of Wisconsin System Application. Certifjcate-seeking students should complete the application as a “special student.” Pay the application processing fee: $50 for the bachelor’s degree and $56 for the master’s degree (no application fee is required for the certifjcates).
Once your application is submitted your home campus will send you information
documents (offjcial transcripts, resume, letters of recommendation). Complete the FAFSA if interested in fjnancial aid (https://fafsa.ed.gov). If admitted, you will then work with the Student Success Coach.
