Partnerships – Las Vegas TMC • NDOT facility • RTC SN maintains Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) devices and traffic signals through FAST (Freeway and Arterial System of Transportation) • FAST is co-located with state patrol (NHP) • FAST is jointly funded by NDOT, RTC SN, Clark County and the local cities in southern Nevada

Waycare and FAST • Early incident identification through this system was 12 minutes faster on average than the current mode of incident identification • 90% of incidents have less than 30 minute response time • Waycare identified 11% of crashes through in- vehicle data sources • RTC incident reporting doubled in October 2017 compared to last year • Injuries citywide have gone down 7% • Public outreach grew by 160% with total engagement of over 1.3 million people in October 2017

I-15 Multi-State Corridor Operations and Management (MCOM) • Dynamic Mobility Project funded through a Federal grant • Caltrans, NDOT, ADOT, UDOT partnership • Share real-time corridor information between states • Focus on outreach to the freight community to improve operations of long-haul freight on the I-15 corridor • Outcome: web-based tool that links up the traffic operation centers of 4 states

  12. Electric Highway • NDOT has identified our alternate fuel corridors to FHWA • Assisting the Governor’s Office of Energy and NV Energy to fill in the gaps along US 95 Electric Highway • GOE and NDOT are working with a partner to deploy portable solar- powered charging stations

Integrated Mobile Observation Project • Outfit snowplows with GPS, LiDAR, FLIR and DSRC/5G radios • Integrate sensors with our Roadway Weather Information System (RWIS) • Broadcast locations (AV displays, NDOT website and travel apps) • HUD in NDOT snowplow • Integrate with AV/CV collision avoidance

  14. Fiber Deployment • NDOT is installing conduit for future fiber optic • Used Utah legislation as a model for Nevada legislation for leasing spare conduit to fiber company • Working with a company on the USA Parkway corridor • USA Parkway serves the Tahoe-Reno Industrial Center (TRIC)

  15. Tahoe-Reno Industrial Center • 264 square miles • More than 140 tenants including the Tesla Gigafactory, Switch, eBay, Walmart and Zulily. • Google recently purchased 1,200 acres.
