Where do Sheen Mount children move on to? See chart of recent transitions. Now approx. 50/50 split with state and independent schools.
Independent schools – selective, fee paying Children will sit an exam and have an interview. Each school is very different and the criteria for children to gain a place differs from school to school, and also from year to year Some of the independent schools offer scholarships and bursaries.
Visit a considered range
- f schools. Please speak
to us if you need any advice.
Independent school reports We make a charge of £25 to enable your child’s class teacher to prepare a report which is required by independent schools. This will be photocopied to whichever schools ask for a report. If you do not wish to pay for a special report to be prepared and written, we are able to supply schools with a copy of your child’s report from the previous year.
PLEASE try to keep disruption for the Year 6 class teachers a minimum by: Only visiting those schools that are likely choices Making sure that your child is out of Sheen Mount for the minimum amount of time for a visit, interview or exam. Maintaining momentum with learning.
Thank you and best wishes for a successful outcome – however daunting it may seem now – everything will work out for the best!
