Solar Design Strategies for Net Metering, and Behind-the-Meter
- NH Net Metering: Allows power to the grid to
be “banked” by the utility and returned to you in the future – make hay while the sun shines…
- Favors Smaller (100 kW AC and less) with more favorable
- ffsets: Energy + Transmission + ¼ Distribution
- Going “Behind-the-Meter: a direct connection
and real-time supply when energy is produced and used simultaneously. Greatest savings available as it directly slows, stops, or reverses the meter. Excess is still exported to the net metered pool.
POWER PURCHASE AGREEMENTS
- No cost to Newport School District
Norwich Technologies responsible for all
- perations and system maintenance
- Effective Energy Rate of $0.077/kWh with
2% annual escalator
- Projected resultant annual savings to Town:
$3,254 (savings projected to increase due to future energy rates which are projected to rise faster than the 2% PPA escalator)
PPA RATE ESCALATOR ADVANTAGE
