  • Zach Elementary School Addition
  • Construction is almost complete
  • 2 new classrooms and expansion to existing classrooms to

make Zach a four-track school

  • Kindergarten addition
  • Music Room storage
  • Anticipated completion: September 2019
  • Renovated spaces will be opened for use as soon as they are

complete

  • One modular has been relocated to Riffenburgh Elementary

School – Two remaining modulars on site will be relocated next summer

  • Schematic Design and Design Development are complete
  • School design should be complete in late 2019
  • Project scheduled for bidding in November 2019
  • Anticipate bringing a contract to the Board in early 2020
  • Construction begins in March 2020
  • 18 month construction schedule
  • Anticipate hiring a principal by February 2020
  • Naming Committee slated to begin work in Spring 2020
  • Recommendation to the Board anticipated by May/June 2020
  • Anticipated school opening: Fall 2021

  • Request for Qualifications (RFQ) has been

completed and issued for design of the facility

  • Facility to be located on JSSC site
  • Facility could house Transportation Services and

Outdoor Services

  • Anticipated completion: 2022

  • $40 Million in Ongoing Facilities Improvements
  • Some examples of the projects planned for the

2019-2020 school year and summer include:

  • Furniture and fixture upgrades
  • HVAC work
  • Asphalt projects (paving, parking lots and playpads)
  • Fire alarm and smoke detector upgrades
  • Among many others
  • Projects administered by Operations will be

implemented over a three to four year period

  • PSD Futures Lab
  • ~40 students have expressed interest as of the

end of July

  • Interested students come from all 4 comprehensive high

schools, 2 alternative high schools, and one special program (Cooper Home)

  • Enrollment will be open through Labor Day
  • 5 classes will be offered: MobileMakers iOS App

Development, AP Seminar, Drones, Design/Build and Business Incubator

  • Interest is highest in MobileMakers, AP Seminar and Drones
  • Continuing to Explore Permanent Facility Options
