Genesis 11:1-4 Now the whole earth had one language and a common speech. As men moved eastward, they found a plain in Shinar and settled there... Genesis 11:7-8 “ Come let us go down and confuse their language so they will not understand each other. ” So the Lord scattered them from there over all the earth, and they stopped building the city.

I Kings 10:23-24 King Solomon was greater in riches and wisdom than all the other kings of the earth. The whole world sought audience with Solomon to hear the wisdom God had put in his heart.
