M.H. LITIGATION

May 2013 Plaintiffs filed the action of M.H., et al. v. Mount Vernon City School District, et al in Federal court. August 2014 The Plaintiffs alleged that the Mt. Vernon City School District violated federal and state laws by failing to have in place adequate programs, systems, and procedures to provide a free and appropriate public education (FAPE). April 2016 District and Plaintiffs entered into an Interim Agreement for the development of a Remedial Action Plan.
