All students should select a minimum of three courses.

  • 1. Ability What are you good at? Make sure you check the entry

requirements for each subject.

  • 2. Personal preference What do you enjoy?
  • 3. Inter-relationship of subjects Do you want to study subjects which

have a natural grouping, such as Chemistry, Maths and Physics? Do you want a broad balance of subjects?

  • 4. Higher Education Ensure that you complete research about what

subjects you may need for your next steps? For example, medicine typically requires both Biology and Chemistry.
