TEAM BUILDING ACTIVITIES OUTSIDE THE HOTEL
Beach Ball Relay - Have one member of each team holds a beach ball between the knees. Once the starting signal sounds, these team members should move to the finish line and back without dropping the beach ball. The players then pass the ball to the next team member... Catch the Flags - This game is an outdoor version of musical chairs. The participants lie flat on their stomachs a few metres away from the flag field. The participants must then race to the flags and try to grab one. The challenge in the activity is that there are always less flags than there are participants. The participants who do not manage to grab a flag are eliminated, the flags are reset (removing one more), and the game continues until there is one person remaining - the winne Water Transfer - Teams need to transfer water from a starting point to a finishing point using a combination of different equipment including pipes with holes in them. Prepare to get very wet. Teamwork is required when all the participants need to stop water from escaping the holes, and also transfer the water from one spot to the next Beach Soccer - Played on a smaller field with a lighter or smaller ball and
- nly 1 meter goal posts to keep things interesting.
TEAM BUILDING ACTIVITIES OUTSIDE THE HOTEL
Orienteering An oldie, but a goodie. Orienteering is great for communication
and having fun. It doesn’t have to be an all-day event either, since urban
- rienteering in the area just near the office is more than possible.
Human knot For this simple game, ask everyone to stand in a circle, close
their eyes, and put their hands into the middle of the circle, taking hold of someone else's hands at random. When everyone opens their eyes, their aim is to untangle themselves into a normal circle without anyone letting go of their colleagues' hands.
Egg drop For this, colleagues split into teams to make the strongest possible
package to support an egg being dropped from height, and the choice of materials given is up to you. Give the teams an hour to make their packages and then test them. Whichever package survives the biggest drop is crowned the winner.
If…? Write 20 on slips of paper, put them in the middle, and have people take
them out at random to answer them. Questions like, ‘if you won the lottery today, what would be your first purchase?’ might open up common ground between colleagues that you never thought would exist.
