In 2012, Dr. Ian Wilson wanted to give back to Rochester, the city that has give him so
- much. Wall\Therapy became the manifestation of that thank you. Wall\Therapy has
transformed the city and it’s murals have become a big part of the local identity. Rochester’s culture views Wall\Therapy as an art and intervention project that has beautified the urban landscape, and inspired individuals. The Art House design is inspired by this art project and will incorporate this street art movement by celebrating the color, flow and free expression of these murals. The DelMonte Hotel Group’s, The Art House will be located at 151 St. Paul Street, Rochester at the corner of Andrews St.in the city of Rochester, NY. The restaurant will be part of the Hilton Brand, following the Hilton design standards. The design will be inspired by the Wall\Therapy movement and the goal of the restaurant’s design will be to inspire and bring people together. The Art House will incorporate exposed brick, concrete and wood finishes to bring that urban feeling into the space. The primary goal
- f the design is to meet the ADA standards for wheelchair use and Universal Design.
Sustainability will be achieved by being considerate of energy consumption when it comes to selecting equipment and materials.
