1. STRIVE funded 800 researchers (250 full time) 2. Nationally 5-fold increasepublications since 1995 3. 36% above world average impact on “water quality publications” (Forfas, 2012) 4. Strong contribution made in Water, Climate Change, Waste, Biodiversity etc in terms of policy support 5. VFM – Savings gained, Fines avoided & Some commercialisation of research 6. Strong vibrant research and innovation community well placed to tackle the environmental challenges & compete internationally (€46m in FP7 funding to date)
