Weight Management

Public Health Northamptonshire will fund a 12 week course with a number of commissioned weight management services if your BMI is over 28 (conditions apply) If your BMI is over 40 you are advised to contact your GP for advice. Main Aims

  • To halt, reverse or reduce the deterioration of frailty in

people living with mild frailty as measured by the Edmonton frailty scale.

  • To decrease the number of people living with mild frailty who

experience major health events.

  • To support the identification and recognition of frailty in at

risk patients across the Northamptonshire health and social care system.

  • To support the development of a system wide frailty pathway

from fitness to severe frailty and end of life care.

  • To contribute to the knowledge base on frailty, its

management and progression.
