300 colleagues involved in 190 Quality Improvement (Qi) projects. Over 2,000 members of Team DBTH trained in our Qi way. Our improvement methodology is now embedded in all forms

  • f training, such as ‘Leading to Outstanding’.

A few examples of the above work can be seen our recent Trauma and Orthopaedic and Antenatal projects. Qi is now part and parcel of what we do as a Trust and will continue to help us on our journey to ‘Outstanding’.

Cancer waiting times

In 2018/19 we achieved 62 and 31 day wait cancer targets. We did not achieve our two week wait (2ww). National test site – review and recommendations. Rapid Diagnostic Centre in the region. Excellent cancer patient experience scores.

Maternity Services

Hospital Services Review was completed May 2018. The report recommended:

1. ‘Hosted Networks’ for services 2. Partnership between DBTH and Sheffield Children’s Hospital 3. Workforce planning across the system 4. Introduction of a early warning monitoring system.

Any reconfigurations only taken forward if deemed essential.
