  13. Prevention in 2018/19 75% of clinical staff vaccinated against the flu in four weeks. Further 100 Day challenge work in ENT, Urology and Cardiology. We have been a key partner with ‘ Complex Lives ’ work in the area. We are undertaking smoking-cessation ‘QUIT’ work for patients. Further work with Macmillan Cancer Support in Outpatients. Further exploratory work with System Perfect to better understand local health care provision and need. www.dbth.nhs.uk

  14. Partners in 2018/19 UK’s first-ever Foundation School in Health launched. Regulator accredited services such as Pathology and Endoscopy. Further work as partners within the Integrated Care System Agreement to work closely with Sheffield Children’s NHS FT. Refurbished DRI’s dining room , entrance and new eateries. Our Hyper Acute Stroke Services to provide regional care and funding for new CT Suite received in part from Cancer Detection Trust. www.dbth.nhs.uk

  15. Qi in 2018/19 300 colleagues involved in 190 Quality Improvement (Qi) projects. Over 2,000 members of Team DBTH trained in our Qi way. Our improvement methodology is now embedded in all forms of training, such as ‘Leading to Outstanding’. A few examples of the above work can be seen our recent Trauma and Orthopaedic and Antenatal projects. Qi is now part and parcel of what we do as a Trust and will continue to help us on our journey to ‘Outstanding’. www.dbth.nhs.uk

  16. Future challenges Workforce vacancies (Specific challenges in certain areas) Maintaining multiple large sites . Increasing demand. Modernisation and digital transformation . Challenging financial landscape . Activity and delivering to local and national targets (new challenge in 2019/20 related to NHS pensions). www.dbth.nhs.uk

  17. Cancer waiting times In 2018/19 we achieved 62 and 31 day wait cancer targets. We did not achieve our two week wait (2ww). National test site – review and recommendations. Rapid Diagnostic Centre in the region. Excellent cancer patient experience scores. www.dbth.nhs.uk

  18. Maternity Services Hospital Services Review was completed May 2018. The report recommended: 1. ‘Hosted Networks’ for services 2. Partnership between DBTH and Sheffield Children’s Hospital 3. Workforce planning across the system 4. Introduction of a early warning monitoring system. Any reconfigurations only taken forward if deemed essential. www.dbth.nhs.uk
