Steps taken by NATO to integrate gender perspectives in the military:

  • ‘’The CWINF Guidance for NATO Gender Mainstreaming’’ from

2007 as a initiating step

  • In the late 2007, the NATO Military Authorities were tasked by

North Atlantic Council to develop the Military Concept for this issue

  • In the late 2007, the interested Allies and Partners were tasked

by North Atlantic Council to commence a study to identify best practices assisting the efforts of the Provisional Reconstruction Teams (PRTs) in Afghanistan
