Monday, May 21 Graduation Meeting & 10:00 am– SHS Gym Senior Class Pics All students are required to attend this meeting. Final 2018 Senior picture, Favorites pictures and other state honors pics will be taken. These pictures will be shown at a pre-graduation video on May 25. Dress: Business Casual, NO jeans (Donuts will be provided.)

Thursday, May 24 6:30 pm - SHS Gym Senior Academic Recognition/ Capping Ceremony All students participating in the Senior Recognition/Capping Ceremony will meet in the SHS library no later than 6 pm. Gown and 2018 SHS stole will be worn over the clothing. (Give cap and tassel to person that is capping you.)

▪ Graduation is a voluntary ceremony. No one is required to n participate in the ceremony in l o a order to receive a diploma. y The Capping Ceremony will n mark a senior’s academic o achievement and continued m commitment to learning. Each e r graduating senior will choose a e special person – parent, C grandparent, teacher, or friend g – to place the cap upon his or n i her head. p p a C

r Senior Recognition is designed to recognize n o each senior for their achievements during the o year. It will include numerous academic i n honors such as: i t e ❖ National Honor Society i n S ❖ High School Project g ❖ Distinguished Plan o c ❖ Honor Graduate e ❖ Top Ten Percent R ❖ Salutatorian and Valedictorian. c i m College, state and local scholarships will be announced. Those who have enlisted in the e armed services will be recognized. d a c A

▪ No larger than 16 x 20 ▪ Narrow frame – preferably black as not to distract from collage or other collages. ▪ Easel to support framed collage – Collages will be set on tables for viewing. Please provide table-top easel. ▪ Collages will be displayed at SHS from May 1 until the Senior conclusion of Recognition/Capping ceremony Collage on May 24.
