11 Veterans Cemetery 2018 Legislation Senate Bill 91 Veterans Cemetery Funding Provided for the Design / Construction of Veterans Cemetery in Minnehaha Co • Created Veteran Cemetery Operating Fund in the state treasury • $450,000 (General Fund) Special Appropriation • $6,000,000 (Federal Fund) Special Appropriation • Creation of the endowment fund within the Community Foundation • States the fund is to raise $3 million by July 1, 2023. • Any disbursements from this fund shall be deposited in the Veterans Cemetery • Fund for the construction and operations of the cemetery. Veterans Council shall report annually to the JCA. •
