Discuss class selections with parents

ENGLISH

• English 10 or English 10 Honors
• Language Arts Lab
• Retake English 9 (3101) – semester 1

MATH

• Algebra I – Geometry – Algebra II STEM, Algebra II NON STEM
• Precalculus/Trigonometry OR Precalculus/Trigonometry STEM
• Algebra I Lab – Concurrently enrolled in Algebra I
• Math Lab (optional) – 3 different focuses:

Math Lab- Geometry Math Lab- Algebra II Math Lab- Precalculus/Trigonometry

REQUIRED COURSES cont.

 HEALTH – REQUIRED for all diploma types  SCIENCE - Many options!

• Talk to your 1st semester or current science

teacher, peers, siblings.

• Consider your future career.
• If you are currently taking Life/Physical Science

then you will take Biology 1 sophomore year.

ASK YOURSELF …

 Are you in World History or Geography this

year? If not, then you need to pick one of these as a sophomore course selection.

 Did you fail any required courses?  Does your diploma require a World

Language?

• AHD – at least 3 years of 1 language OR

2 years of one and 2 years of another

• Core 40 – 2 years recommended

ELECTIVE COURSES

 Choose electives after required courses (and any

failed courses that must be made up)

 TOTAL OF 16 selections or checkmarks on sheet  Study Hall – choose one semester or two semesters  If there are two lines, this means it is a year-long

course, and you must choose both semesters (ex: Food Science 5611/5612)

 If there is one line, this means this is a semester-

long course (ex: Speech 3536)

into your English classes, meeting with you individually and helping you input your course selections online. This will be similar to what you did last year.
