02 Development Cost Fund

• £500,000 ¡available ¡-­‑ ¡no ¡minimum ¡or ¡maximum ¡bid ¡threshold ¡
• A ¡maximum ¡of ¡up ¡to ¡50% ¡of ¡development ¡costs ¡can ¡be ¡

requested ¡to ¡undertake ¡development ¡work ¡at ¡the ¡feasibility, ¡ strategic ¡outline ¡business ¡case ¡and ¡outline ¡business ¡cases ¡stages ¡

• Aimed ¡at ¡organisa,ons ¡undertaking ¡ini,al ¡development ¡work ¡
• n ¡capital ¡projects ¡of ¡a ¡strategic ¡nature ¡(schemes ¡with ¡a ¡total ¡

value ¡of ¡£10m ¡-­‑ ¡£50m) ¡ ¡

• The ¡project ¡must ¡deliver ¡economic ¡growth ¡by: ¡

1.Improving ¡digital ¡infrastructure; ¡and/or ¡ 2.Improving ¡strategic ¡transport ¡connec,vity ¡within ¡or ¡to/from ¡ the ¡Solent; ¡and/or ¡ 3.Accelera,ng ¡the ¡delivery ¡of ¡and ¡/ ¡or ¡improve ¡the ¡viability ¡of ¡ development ¡sites; ¡and/or ¡ 4.Bringing ¡forward ¡new ¡housing ¡(over ¡150 ¡units), ¡innova,ve ¡ solu,ons ¡for ¡the ¡residen,al ¡housing ¡rental ¡market; ¡and/or ¡ 5.Bringing ¡forward ¡/ ¡unlock ¡employment ¡floorspace ¡for ¡logis,cs ¡ (in ¡excess ¡of ¡9,000m2), ¡waterfront ¡employment ¡space ¡(in ¡ excess ¡of ¡2 ¡hectares), ¡Grade ¡A ¡office ¡accommoda,on ¡(in ¡ excess ¡of ¡4,500m2) ¡par,cularly ¡in ¡city ¡centres, ¡or ¡move-­‑on ¡ employment ¡space ¡(in ¡excess ¡of ¡4,500m2); ¡and/or ¡ 6.Bringing ¡forward ¡surplus ¡public ¡land ¡and/or ¡property ¡for ¡ commercial ¡use ¡ ¡

at ¡ the ¡ 22nd ¡ June ¡ 2017 ¡ Funding, ¡ Finance ¡ and ¡ Performance ¡Management ¡Group ¡Meeting ¡
