What you can’t do…..

§ You can’t pay salaries. § You can’t pay for software. § You can’t pay for professional development. § You are expected to provide these, but you can’t pay for them from this bond.

Greenburgh Central School’s Phase 1 Goal

Upgrade the entrance vestibule to provide additional Safety and Security for Woodlands Middle/High School.

COST: $451,876

Q: What happens to the rest of the money? A: Any remaining Smart Schools Funds will continue to be available. The Smart Planning Committee must recommend their expenditure, but they are “evergreen.”

Next Steps

§ Board of Education can designate this plan as a Preliminary Smart Schools Investment Plan. § The Plan is then published on the school district web site with an email address for public comments for 30 days.

Final Steps

§ At a public hearing attached to the Board of Ed Meeting July 2, 2019, any comments on the Smart Schools Investment Plan are reviewed and the plan can be approved by the Board of Education. § Approved plan submitted to NYSED. § The Plan then churns through NYSED for about 12 to 15 months.
