How to be eligible to apply for funding through the SGA BBC Finance Committee? u Have your College and respective Major located on the Biscayne Bay Campus § Chaplin School of Hospitality and Tourism Management § School of Journalism and Mass Communication § School of Environment, Arts & Society (SEAS) IF NOT! u Please contact the MMC Finance Committee & Professional Student Committee (GPSC)

How to Apply? u Tasks before Travels • Get an application from sgabbc.fiu.edu o under Committee, select Finance Committee, then select graduate finance request • Fill out Wufoo and get appropriate form • Provide a copy of class schedule • Attach letter of acceptance from conference • Letter of Support (Reference Letter) from Advisor • Word Document on how your attendance benefits FIU • Budget Breakdown • Submit typed Application at least 6 weeks before your conference

  6. Professional Development Request Form u Request up to $150 for Registration ONLY u Request Funding Once per Fiscal Year (July 1 st , June 30 th ) u Must be submitted at least six (6) weeks before the date of the conference § Must be submitted at least 7.5-8 weeks in advance.

Conference Request Form u Request up to $300 for Domestic and $500 for International Conference u Must be filled out if presenting paper, poster, participating a poster u Request Funding Once per Fiscal Year (July 1 st , June 30 th ) u Must be submitted at least six (6) weeks before the date of the conference § Must be submitted at least 7.5-8 weeks in advance.
