Season 2012-2013 Presentation Night The Platinum Room, Foundry Hotel, May 4 The 2012-13 season was wrapped up at another magnificent Presentation Night, this year held at the Platinum Room at the Foundry Hotel. Around 130 swimmers, coaches and family members celebrated a very successful season in style, with all the hard work of Kim Howell, Donna Morgan and their team much appreciated. Following the welcoming speeches from the President and the Head Coach, the junior awards, Graded Championships and Club Records were presented, acknowledging the achievements of many of the younger swimmers in the club. After the meal, a video presentation from the National Championships was shown, followed by the presentations from the swimmers to the coaches. The evening culminated in the presentation of the classic Handicaps, club age Champions and the major Club awards, with the Ron Davies Award for the most outstanding junior swimmer won by Kiara Verbeek. The Beaurepaire Cup and Jean Taylor Award both were taken out by Isabella Symons in recognition of her outstanding season, and the Dolphin Award was taken out by Cameron Jordan. For the season, a total of 406 records were set, including 2 Victorian Country Records, 1 Victorian Country Event Record, 94 District Records, 285 Club Records and 24 Event Records during the 2012-2013 swimming season.
