About The Scholarship Academy

The mission of The Scholarship Academy is to prove to low income/first generation high school students that college is a realistic possibility. Our aim is to increase the amount of non-federal financial aid “below average” students obtain by equipping them with the necessary tools to aggressively pursue viable scholarship

  • ptions.

The average college student carries an estimated $23,000 worth of student loan debt, which in many cases causes a student to leave school before graduating. TSA works to help students reduce debt by targeting three main components:

  • An increase in competition for limited scholarship

resources,

  • A lack of parental support and development of an

early college funding strategy, and

  • The inability of students to address the gaps in their

financial aid package over the course of their enrollment. Raised over $200,000 in Private Scholarships to go to Howard University, then literally wrote the book on how to she was able to do it.

Bryan was in a jam. Although he had received a partial tuition scholarship from his school, he was struggling to cover the remaining tuition balance. His family rallied together to make sure that he was able to enroll in his dream school. There was only one small problem. His first day on campus, a letter from the financial aid office greeted him alerting him that he must pay off his $7500 balance before he could register for any classes or receive his dorm room
