SUCCESSFUL APPLICATIONS

 Be Organized. Keep a file/binder of

scholarship information including:

 Copies of completed applications  Reference letters  E-files of written work/essays  Be Neat!  Your completed application reflects your skills

and abilities/ use pen or a word program

 Read and follow directions/ complete all

requirements /proofread and proofread again

 Beat deadlines by at least 3 days!  Mind your social media p’s and q’s  Send a thank you to an organization if you

receive a scholarship

MANY ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIPS DO NOT REQUIRE AN APPLICATION. THEY ARE GRANTED ON MERIT - A STUDENT’S EARLY CONDITIONAL

ENTRANCE AVERAGE. 95.00% or higher = $3000 93.00%-94.99% = $1500 90.00% - 92.99% = $1000 Business Excellence Scholarship:

85.00% or higher = $1000

UR Circle of Scholars Entrance Scholarship = $20,000 ($5000 x 4 years) (10 awards given to the top students in each of the identified regions within Canada)

* A re-calculation will be done automatically once you

submit Grade 12 final marks

For Competitive Entrance Awards go to www.uregina.ca/safa/ and attend on campus scholarship workshops (Feb 14 or 20, Mar 1 or 5, 2018) Competitive entrance awards application deadline is March 15th of each year
