What is the SRTS Grant

  • Florida’s Safe Routes to School (SRTS) program can help communities address

their school transportation needs and encourage more students to walk or cycle to school.

  • Grant is administered through Florida Department of Transportation
  • Stakeholders must be involved: City of Tampa, Parent Teacher Association,

Metropolitan Planning Organization, Community Transportation Safety Team, Law Enforcement, Health Department , and various community groups (Neighborhood of Promise)

  • Due date: January 31, 2018
