What is the SRTS Grant  Florida’s Safe Routes to School (SRTS) program can help communities address their school transportation needs and encourage more students to walk or cycle to school.  Grant is administered through Florida Department of Transportation  Stakeholders must be involved: City of Tampa, Parent Teacher Association, Metropolitan Planning Organization, Community Transportation Safety Team, Law Enforcement, Health Department , and various community groups (Neighborhood of Promise)  Due date: January 31, 2018 2

Area 1: Safety Improvements of Current Sidewalk Address sidewalk that drop off • Transition slope, handrails • New crosswalk paint and transition to connect to N 12 th • Street to Fairbanks 4

Area 2: Sidewalk Connection Add sidewalk to south side of E Yukon Street from N 13 th Street to • connect with existing sidewalk on school site along N 12 th Street, which currently terminates (see below). Add crosswalk • 5
