Expectations

  • As you are representing the school and for

health and safety, there will be no drinking or smoking on the trip and any breaches of this code will have serious consequences on our return home.

  • We also expect all students to be polite and well

behaved and listen carefully to all instructions

Souvenirs

§ The best souvenirs are the traditional Russian dolls, hand painted lacquer boxes and Russian style hats §Prices will vary greatly – a reasonable price for a Russian Doll would be $20 US Dollars and between £8

  • $10 US Dollars for a Russian hat

Bartering on the market

Have Patience! And have a go. The Russians enjoy bartering, the best bargains are to be had on the

  • markets. Avoid purchasing items in the area of the

most popular sites as they will also be the highest price! Travel Tips

  • Visa application process
  • Please take a VIS4 form to complete
  • I need a passport photo taken in the last 6 months by

Monday

  • Payment schedule: £600 should have already been paid
  • Friday 18th October 2019 - £300

  • Monday 16th December 2019 - £300
  • Monday 13th January 2020 - £220
  • Please sign register to show attendance. This

presentation will be sent as a Firefly task to all students

  • n the visit.

Manchester Visa application

  • We will be travelling to Manchester on

Wednesday 13th November for a 2pm

  • appointment. It will take 30 minutes to process

the group.

  • Students won’t need to miss lessons – we will

get the 13.16 train from Wilmslow. This train fare is to be paid by students on the day.

  • Should students not be able to attend they will

need to go separately and this will cost £30.

  • We should get passports with the visa in them

back in school around 12th December.
