  • Many extensive studies have

highlighted the fact that women are the majority gender in rural Africa.

  • Pilot experiential entrepreneurship

training –inspiring self-improvement and empowerment

  • There is a widespread practice of

disrespect uncaring, discrimination, and little access to productive credit assets for rural women.

Key Rural Women Issues and Challenges

  • Statutory and Customary laws does

not always favour Rural Women. Implementation is lacking.

  • Trainees engaged creatively,

economically and socially to learn

  • Absence of rural outreach programs

by state and local Government departments

  • Poor access to credit

Two women said: “Poverty is crippling everything that I am supposed to do.” Another said, “Since I never went to school, I want to see all my children go to school… I know God is in Control.”
