TED Grant Year 1

  • Goal 1:

Tribal Educational Code Development - The Rosebud Sioux Tribe (RST) through the Rosebud Sioux Tribe’s Education Department will provide for the development and enforcement of the RST Tribal Educational Code, including educational policies and standards applicable to curriculum, personnel, students, facilities, support programs, and governance outcomes.

  • 1. The Rosebud Sioux Tribe will conduct 5 Community Forums to solicit ideas for revisions to the

RST Education Code

  • 2. The RST Education Department will revise the Education Code and begin development of the

Guidance booklet

  • 3. The RST Education Department will hire an attorney to work with the NARF to conduct a legal

review and legislative analysis of the revised RST Education Code and the RST Penal Code for enforcement of the Education Code

  • 4. The RST Education Department will build an implementation guidance and enforcement

recommendation to the RST Governing

  • 5. The RST Education Department will provide information regarding the implementation of the

grant per requirements and attend required meetings
