  • Seeking out new ways for Access Panels to grow

and influence public policy decision making

  • Representing Access Panels at various stakeholder

groups (e.g. Cross Party Groups, SARF, Roads for All, Digital Inclusion Scotland, Keys to Life etc)

National Statement of Housing Ambition:

  • SDEF are pushing for 10% of new build housing to be accessible:

consortium led by SDEF, Inclusive Living in Scotland, Glasgow Centre for Independent Living and Inclusion Scotland Blackwood Scotland:

  • Looking to work together to promote best practice design standards through

the BI:LD (Building Inclusive: Living Design) website Scottish Youth Parliament:

  • Looking to work with the SYP to raise awareness of Access Panels and the

work they do. Also looking to work with SYP and YoungScot on engaging with young disabled people and encouraging young Scots to join their local Access Panel.

  • Helping develop & drive SDEF’s strategic direction
  • Reviewing SDEF procedures and updating as required

  • Networking with other organisations Disability

  • Vital that Access Panels & SDEF continue to grow and

develop.

  • Vital that Access Panels & Members are supported and given

the opportunity to ‘Have their say’
