BACKGROUND
DOEE offers financial incentives to install green roofs:
- RiverSmart Rooftops – rebates of $10 to $15 per square foot
- Stormwater Retention Credit Trading ‐ sell SRCs to development sites
- RiverSmart Rewards – discounts on a property’s stormwater fees
New Stormwater Management Regulations
- 1.2” retention requirement
- Green roofs can be a cost‐effective means to meet regulatory
requirements if incorporated in early phases of design
PURPOSE OF THE FILM
- Green roof construction and maintenance
guidance for a diverse target group,
- Highlight the District’s excellent stock of existing
green roofs and
- Encourage the construction of new green roofs.
