What is the difference in TAG between elementary and middle school?
- TAG is a pullout program in elementary school.
- In middle school TAG students are served through their
academic classes.
- TAG classes may be comprised of only TAG students, or may be
mixed model classes that contain both TAG and Advanced students
- TAG classes are taught by TAG certified teachers.

- Northwestern Middle School Rising 6th Grade Parents
- All Rising 6th graders must verify residency by providing 2 proofs of residence as detailed
- below. This includes students that are coming to us from a Fulton County Elementary feeder
school.
- Proofs can be emailed starting July 1st to NMSResidency@fultonschools.org (PLEASE PUT THE
STUDENT NAME IN THE SUBJECT LINE) or bring to Information Day in August. Save time and avoid the lines by emailing starting July 1st.
- If your student is coming to us from one of the feeder Elementary Schools zoned for our
building, all records will automatically transfer to Northwestern Middle. There is NO NEED to sign up for a registration appointment.
- YOU STILL MUST FULFILL THE RESIDENCY REQUIREMENT

- If you have moved into our district from a Fulton School NOT zoned for NMS, please let your
current school know your student will not be returning
- You will need to submit residency and complete an In- System Transfer Form (form can be
found on our website under "Registration Icon" on our main page
- If your student is coming to us from a private school or out of the county (not a Fulton School)
you must register your student.
- Go to Northwestern Middles website, scroll down and click on Registration Information for
required documents.
