Some Notes

  • Purpose of the measurement: pre‐shutdown documenLng of

the machine and understanding of difference between proton and pbar opLcs

  • This was the first successful la6ce measurement with pbars
  • n pbar helix
  • Standard orbit response measurement with 60 correctors
  • Final convergence of the fit is 20 µm (rms orbit error) which

corresponds to 15% error in β‐funcLon

  • Again had to spend Lme pu6ng BPMs into correct mode

Summary

  • Successfully measured pbar collision opLcs
  • There is a significant beta‐beaLng in the verLcal plane
  • Gradient errors are small, difference between prot and pbar

la6ce mostly in coupling: both at FF triplets and in the arcs.
