Everyday: Energy Monitors

Monitors and provides real-time data on power consumption and production. Tracks energy consumption patterns, and notifies when and where it detects abnormal energy consumption. Provides data on power production from wind and solar energy production devices, and where and how much of that energy is being consumed. Leading examples include Curb and Sense.

Everyday/Environmental: Sharing Human technology with Plants Project - HEXA

A modified HEXA robot that gives plants mobility to move around. It will search for light when the plant needs sunlight, and move into the shadows when the plant is getting too much. It also monitors and keeps track of moisture, and will behave happy when the plant has enough water, and behave “cranky” when the plant needs water.

Using the Nintendo Switch, users can create and use “input” devices called Toy-cons that they can use to play games on the Switch, with the game actions being an “output”. Although Nintendo provides Toy-con kits and the pre-programmed games for the Switch to use, users can create their own devices and games, both physically and programming.
