  9. Product Portfolio PRE - HEATING SYSTEM GAS ANALYSIS SYSTEM ODORIZATION SYSTEM METERING & REGULATING STATIONS

  10. Flagship Products: GAS ANALYSIS SYSTEM • GRETA is a modular multi-function system based on field analysis devices, consisting of miniaturized gas chromatographic modules. • GC technique which guarantees very high accuracy (excellent limit of quantification on the analysed compounds) • It allows to get Real-time data , remotely from the Network • This device takes data from the field and send it to a Smart SCADA, where they will be analyzed 10

  11. Flagship Products: • Extreme compactness and possibility of field installation • ATEX zone 1 certification • Low maintenance costs : Time Between Maintenance> 1 year • Low electrical absorption, possible integration with a stand-alone photovoltaic system • Intelligence on the edge: possibility of integration with other sensors and local data processing • Continuous monitoring and consequent process optimization • Reduction of CO2 emissions • Exponential increase in security and reduction of operating costs • Easy to use, Small dimensions & Robust design 11

  12. GAS ANALYSIS PROCESS Inline gas analysis made simple. Device ready to be used for the following applications: • Odorant concentration. • Hydrogen concentration. • Content of sulphur compounds. • Biomethane – gas quality through measurement of: o Methane. o Carbon dioxide. o Nitrogen. o Hydrogen. o Oxygen o Hydrogen sulfide. o THT/TBM • Determination of the following values: o Wobbe index. o Higher calorific Value. o Lower calorific value. o Relative density. • OIML R-140 compliant version for custody transfer . ATEX Zone 1 compliant 12

  13. GAS ANALYSIS PROCESS • Consisting of 2 main elements -> a field device and an intelligent built-in Data acquisition and transmission system • n ° 1 Cylinder of Helium Gas carrier (14Lt) • n ° 1 Cylinder of Calibration Gas (10Lt) Able to send in Real-time and any time GC analysis results SAM (Safe Area Module) GRETA has an Open Communication Protocol and can also be integrated in 3 rd part SCADA 13

  14. GAS ANALYSIS PROCESS • Gas Transmission Network where the Odorant Concentration might be unknown • Gas Distribution Network where there might be possible Over-Odorization • District Regulating Stations on most critical DRS location or Authority check point • City Gates Stations to check Odorant Concentration before Distribution

  15. GAS ANALYSIS PROCESS Actual Gas analysis GRETA CG analysis • Analysis’ frequency are based on the • Analysis’ frequency available in real- minimum declared by the time with No limitation Regulatory Authority for Energy • No need of dedicated skilled • Technicians’ cost and time to technicians perform device analysis • CAPEX (One-time purchase • OPEX (Ongoing cost for running the investment) device) • Historical Data Storage illimited and • No historical Data Storage available, Data Analytics is available to just single self-standing optimize the network performance measurements

  16. Market Benchmark GAS ANALYSIS PROCESS LAB GC HIGH PRICE PORTABLE GC ELECTRO-CHEMICAL CELLS LOW PRICE HIGH PERFORMANCE LOW PERFORMANCE

  17. PRE-HEATING SYSTEMS • Pre-heating is mandatory when the upstream pressure is higher then 12 bar (UNI 9167:2009) • Used to prevent the excessive temperature lowering due to the significant gas pressure reduction • Commonly used to prevent water and hydrocarbon particles from icing inside the gas • Cause serious operation problems to the regulation apparatus up to reaching the block of the gas supply TRADITIONAL TECHNOLOGIES • Use thermostats, boilers and water / gas heat exchangers • Non-intelligent system: the boilers’ control is regulated only by the set-point of the thermostats.

  18. Traditional Management PRE-HEATING SYSTEMS Traditional management drives to : • High thermal inertia • Gas temperature fluctuation • Excessive gas heating • Thermal dispersions • Excessive consumption of pre-heating gas

  19. PRE-HEATING SYSTEMS Traditional management drives to : EMMA is the first and unique device specifically developed for optimizing preheating process at decompression and metering stations Real-time control unit to get to the best performance by reducing natural gas consumption. EMMA continuously analyzes in real time the following system operating parameters: • Gas flow rate • Water temperature • Gas temperature Through a sophisticated “ AUTO-LEARNING ” adaptive algorithm ( just few hours after the commissioning ) EMMA automatically sets the best configuration of boilers and electro-circulators. FIELD-TEST AVERAGE RESULT from more than 550 Emma installed at City Gate Stations: -36% NATURAL GAS CONSUMPTION

  20. Working Principles PRE-HEATING SYSTEMS Lower Carbon dioxide (CO2) emission • EMMA’s basic principle is to continuously provide the right heat amount to natural gas • Possible over-heating is useless and inefficient and must be avoided • EMMA is capable of providing working details of all the equipment involved Allows to get Energy Efficiency in the process and prevent irregular system behavior Certificates Gas temperature set-point range of ± 1 ° C , than the set temperature

  21. Flagship Products: • Patented technology • Ready to be installed in almost all city-gates • Easy to use • Immediate Return-on-Investment • Average savings of 36% in gas consumption with consistent OPEX savings and reduction in CO2 emissions • Very limited maintenance costs • Compatible with the most popular remote-control systems • Suitable for use in emission trading projects • Fitting with the most advanced heat generators (heat pumps, condensing boilers, hybrid systems) 21
