COMPANY PROFILE

Introduction & Profile of the company: Singh & Co. was started by Mr. Bhagwant Singh, who is a B.E (Bachelor in Engineering) in Mechanical from a very renowned college & University, Thapar University in 1974, from Patiala in India and Master’s in Business from London Business School, UK in the year 1977.

• Mr. Bhagwant Singh, a professionally qualified engineer with a serious business acumen moved to

Muscat in 1974 for working with the Govt. of Oman. He was involved with the engineering aspect

• f many defense related projects during his tenure from 1974 till 1990. He eventually resigned to

set up his own business. At the time of his departure from the Govt. of Oman, he was heading the engineering department. During this tenure he was very deeply involved in the engineering aspects, which included planning, designing and execution of different projects under the Ministry. Background of Singh & Co. Started in 1990 as mechanical & electro mechanical engineering company, Singh & Company, over a period of more than two decades, has strived hard to establish itself as a renowned ultimate engineering hub, having a wide range of Manufacturing, Fabrication and Machining activities. The company’s emphasis on ‘Customer Care’ and Continuous Improvement’ has been adequately rewarded by way of its association with most respected and credible companies in Oman. Below is a short summary of our locations and ongoing operations in the sultanate of Oman: -

FIRST UNIT

In the year 1990, Singh & Co. was set up by Mr. Bhagwant Singh by developing an engineering facility at Plot No. 1612, Way No. 6420, Industrial Area, Ghala, Muscat which is approx. 2,500 sq.

• mts. where the company set up and constructed its engineering facility for machining and

fabrication in about 2,000 sq. mts. The company started with heavy engineering jobs for fabrication for industrial support, to cater to the earth moving & oil fields plants. Currently its dealing with all kinds of fabrication and repair services. It also have a very old and a well built

SECOND UNIT

Later on after 9 years, in the year 1999, Singh & Co. set up its facilities in another place, Plot No.1618, Way No. 6420, Industrial Area, Ghala, Muscat, which is a 2,000 sq. mts plot on which the facility has been constructed on 700 sq. mts covered area, and in this facility reconditioning, refurbishing of earth moving machinery and equipments is being carried out exclusively as the company got several valuable assignments of clients to cater to this specific area. This site also hosts our nearly 250 strong committed employees accommodation as per ILO standards.

THIRD UNIT

Again in this year 1999, the company set up third facility at Plot No.11B, Way No. 6605, Industrial Area, Ghala, Muscat on a plot of 5,400 sq. mts. where it constructed an area of 4,400 sq. mts. and this particular facility was set up with high end CNC Machining facility to manufacture trailers, axles, suspension and heavy trailers, which are required for use in oil fields in specific and other construction activity in general. The Company’s new facility is equipped with the latest state-of-art CNC and high-end Machining and Fabrication Machineries to fulfill the ever-growing engineering demands of its trustworthy customers. In this plant, a complete designing and manufacturing of Hydra Mobile cranes which are used in industry, logistics activities with respect to shifting and moving of the materials from one place to another, is being carried out.

FOURTH UNIT

Subsequently in the year 2003, another facility was created by Singh & Co. on Plot No.2886, Way No.6426, Industrial Area, Ghala, Muscat was set up on plot of approx. 7,000 sq. mts. on which a covered area of approx. 4000 sq. mts. and this was developed specifically for an induction furnace, castings of all kinds of crushing plant, heavy parts for automobiles, industrial castings and spares

• etc. It's also equipped with annealing and tempering furnaces which deals with annealing

processes of metals which supports are automotive components division. It also has a spring leave manufacturing unit (walking beam furnace) which manufactures all kinds of spring leaves for trucks, trailers. Its popularly known as the "Furnace corner of Muscat"

FIFTH UNIT

In the year of 2012, we will be starting our first fully automated facility in Sohar which is registered

The company is fully certified by the American petroleum standards for 4 classes i.e (6A,16A, 7-1, 4F) with all supportive ISO 9001 and 14,000 standards and is currently under the process of ASME certification (Manufacturing & Repair of pressure vessels).

SIXTH UNIT

Finally in the year 2012, we have also been taken up a plot in the Rusayl industrial estate registered under public establishment, phase 3, Rusayl industrial estate, Muscat, Sultanate of Oman which is coming up as a fully automated beverage plant (16 lines) which has been completely from Oman national dairy which will be believed to be the biggest Beverage plant in sultanate of Oman. All the six facilities have been created one after the other due to the ever increasing demand for the company’s products and services from very reputed clients across Oman and due to the fact that the company works on a very client centric approach where by customer requirements are studied in detail and the job is carried out with the ‘Valve Addition’ concept at each stage of the job. FABRICATION UNIT: The Company design and fabricate mud tank, brine tank, all types of trailers, including flat bed, low bed, special oil field trailers for rig site purpose, vacuum tankers, storage tanks and allied equipments for batching plants, block plants etc. design and fabrication of various types of mixing tanks for rig well test units. MACHINE SHOP UNIT: The company has a wide range of hi-tech imported machineries, including state-of -the-art CNC and high precision machineries. The activities comprises of oil field services, manufacturing and repairing

machines like CNC lathe, copier lathe, heavy duty surface grinder, hobbing machine, milling machine, gear shavers, gear grinders, horizontal boring machine and vertical turret lathe are indispensable part of the machine shop. The company also carries out "hydro testing" and "centre of

gravity" as per the required API and Royal Oman Police (ROP) Procedures and are certified by the same.
