Attendance (Virtual vs. In-Person)

In Person Learning Days:

  • If your child is absent from in person instruction, they may log in to the livestream so that

they do not miss the content, but they will still be marked a absent for attendance purposes.

  • As usual, if your child will not be attending school on an in-person day, please contact the

high school so we can make note. Remote Learning Days:

  • If your child is too sick to participate in online instruction, please contact the high school so

we can mark your child accordingly. If their absence is not called in, we will follow normal procedures for those students who are marked absent by a teacher without a parent call. Study Halls:

  • Students who are learning remotely, will NOT need to attend any study halls virtually.

Science

  • All students are still expected to complete the required amount of lab hours in order to sit for

their respective Regents exam.

  • In order to secure those hours, NYSED is now accepting virtual labs towards those hours.

That has not been the case in the past.

  • Last year NYSED waived the lab hours required to receive credit for each respective Regents
  • exam. Given that they are now permitting virtual labs to count, that MAY not be the case this

year
