Enterprise Holdings’ Brands Sweep 2011 Executive Travel “Leading Edge Awards” for Car Rental
- National Car Rental wins Gold, Alamo Rent A Car
and Enterprise Rent-A-Car take Silver and Bronze.
- Executive Travel surveyed its readers about their
business travel experiences in order to identify the winners in 32 categories.
- Other winners include Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group
as the top-rated hotel chain and Alaska Airlines among domestic carriers for its frequent flyer program.
Automotive News names Andrew C. Taylor as one of the “Electrifying 100” driving vehicle electrification

IRS raises mileage reimbursement
- Beginning July 1st, drivers can deduct 55.5 cents per
mile for using their private vehicle for business-related travel.
- The increase of 4.5 cents from the first six months of
2011 reflects the recent increase in gas prices

with automated rental technology, which enables customers to reserve, rent, access and return cars just about anywhere. The concept blends the transactional nature of the rental business with the car-sharing model:

- In May, National began offering Emerald
Aisle service at Jacksonville International Airport (FL) and updated directional signage throughout the location for increased efficiency for customers.

a new, more convenient on-site location at Portland International Airport.

Enterprise launches EV pilot in London
- Enterprise is investing in a 12-month electric vehicle
(EV) pilot in London involving eight Peugeot iOn cars.
- Enterprise has established 11 charging points in key
branches across the city as part of London’s Plugged-In Places program.
- The pilot is part of
Enterprise’s ongoing investment in alternative fuel technologies to help promote sustainable transportation.

- In July, the Department of Energy announced Enterprise
Holdings is one of six new Corporate Partners to join the National Clean Fleets Partnership – a public-private partnership that helps large companies reduce diesel and gasoline use in their fleets by incorporating electric vehicles, alternative fuels, and fuel-saving measures into their daily operations.
